This course is for those who have a good existing grasp of rope, and are ready to explore the more intimate and demanding side.

We will challenge both rigger and model in predicament, semenawa, exposure, pressure and intimacy through floor-based ties, semi-suspensions and the use of hashira.

Technique, bodies and polarity meet in an intense and raw setting.

Description:

This course is focused on floor-based ties with single, non-weight bearing uplines.

Participants will gain both technical and practical understanding of how to create deep and intense rope scenes - without full suspensions.

Pre-requisites:

You should have taken our advanced course, or have equivalent experience, including being able to tie a stable gote.

Knowledge of patterns such as tengu, tenshi and futomomo are an advantage

You are expected to have an understanding of your own and your partner's boundaries, including the ability to communicate clearly - also when under pressure or being intimate

What will I learn?

• To work with discomfort, pressure and control on the floor and in semi-suspensions
• To use hashira for intense yet safe(r) exposure
• To build scenes that balance discomfort, enjoyment and psychological connection
• To make fine adjustments to rope handling, flow and precision
• To read and consciously respond to your partner's signals with respect

Please bring:

• Minimum 7 reb (8–10 m)
• Safety shears
• Appropriate clothing
• Any toys that are part of your dynamic

Teaching format

Each part will begin with a demonstration where the instructors will show both technical and emotional variations as needed

Participants will then explore in accordance with their own dynamic, and have individual support as needed throughout this

We create a space for reflection, intensity and play - and will guide you through the whole process
