Hello! Today we have the honour of speaking with two wonderful visitors, who have come to explore the Copenhagen rope scene – from all the way across the Atlantic. To start: Could you tell us a little about yourselves? 

Howdy! We’re Kova! A gender nonconforming and rope enthusiastic couple living in Houston, Texas. Kai is our rigger and animal control for Nova, the feral puppy that only rope can contain. We are both in our early 20s and have been tying actively in the scene for about 3 years

What a fabulous introduction! Thank you – and in the vein of introductions… when did you first encounter rope?

We first encountered rope way before we should have – in high school – from just being crazy kids. We didn’t officially enter the scene until 2023 however and have been tying semi-frequently ever since.

Amazing – over these past years: what would be your favourite/funniest/best memory of tying or being tied?

Our favorite memories of rope come from us getting together with our friends and renting a house and setting up our portable rigs. Several shenanigans ensure from these jams- including playing Mario Cart while inverted, the help me game (yes, it is exactly what it sounds like), and seeing how far we can push the human body in general.

Those memories bring smiles! Do you have anything you’d tell people just getting started, or who are curious about rope?

Rope is anything you want it to be! It can be sensual, hardcore, sexy, sporty, or incredibly funny. Try out the different styles and see what you like the best! The only wrong way to play in rope is the way that violates your risk profile. 

Thank you. Those are wise words. To round off – Would you like to tell us about any hopes, dreams or goals you have for your rope life? Anything you are really looking forward to?

We both are really looking forward to tying across the world and visiting new rope scenes (and bringing a little bit of Houston energy with us) Kai has always wanted to tie in a church or cathedral and Nova can’t wait to get tied in a remote place outdoors like by the ocean or deep in the woods.
